For the second year I took a trip down to the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky. I was finally able to visit the Bardstown Bourbon Company. A place I had first heard about from my friends over at sipping social podcast, check out their interview with Steve Nally. Soon after listening to their podcast I was able to get my hands on a bottle of the fusion. It was fantastic and had me wanting to visit.
Bardstown Bourbon Company did not disappoint. The tour starts off perfect. You begin with a 4-glass tasting. Then you head off on a hands-on tour of their process. Even was able to check on the barrels, remove the bung and use a thief to sample some bourbon. They have plans to open a hotel on site soon. I cannot wait because I know I will be making another trip with my wife.
